SOHO, LONDON -
MEET HUDSON, NY
In 2009, a long-haired musician moved to London when offered a record deal by the late great Andy Gill of Gang of Four. As he walked into a Soho hair salon, little did he know that he would be meeting his future partner.
Fast forward a few years: Julia Despot-Olofsson, an A-lister stylist, and Stroo Despot-Olofsson, the musician-turned-entrepreneur-whisk(e)y-expert-and-mixologist are at the helm of Blade Hairclubbing®, a Soho institution where hair is a social affair, with clients ranging from Carol Thatcher, Caroline Welby (the wife of the Archbishop of Canterbury), Noddy Holder MBE and Sophia Boutella - to managers of many famous London institutions such as Claridge's, BAFTA, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, The Groucho Club, Milroy's of Soho, The Soho Whisky Club and many others.
After the Covid pandemic, the couple have decided to take a breather from city life and introduce an upscale experience of their Hairclubbing® concept to the vibrant scene in Hudson, NY.
"Julia is a listener. She saves me
from bad haircut anxiety."
the wife of the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury
HAUTE COUTURE HAIRCUT
Luxury custom-fitted haircut focused on the person, not hair alone.
It takes keen emphatic communication to uncover the desired, feared and achievable before crafting the correct haircut shape, natural confidence and the effortless comfort of wearing.
This is why our Haute Couture Haircut is a social affair, to be enjoyed with one's guests over drinks samples, meticulously curated by Stroo Despot-Olofsson, in a relaxing upscale Warren Street environment.
Only after the consultation may the technical skills of Julia Despot-Olofsson, one of London's most experienced and capable hair stylists and men’s groomers, make that elusive but critical difference.
"The best haircut
I have ever had."
Neville John "Noddy" Holder MBE,
